Application: The composite tooling industry uses laminated panels for numerous applications, which require a thin, high strength reinforcement. Due to the very low coefficient of thermal expansion, laminates are ideal for supports on bonding tools and master models used at high temperatures. Other popular uses in the industry include eggcrate and truss reinforcements.

Honeycomb Panels - Graphite & Fiberglass
Application: Honeycomb panels are commonly chosen for their high strength to weight ratio and lower cost compared to laminate panels. Because of its excellent dimensional stability and elevated temperatures, very low coefficient of thermal expansion, and its light weight, the composite tooling industry used honeycomb panels for eggcrate, truss, and master model back-up structures made of graphite or requiring elevated heat cycles. Other uses include a wide variety of applications requiring a flat, stiff, high strength panel at minimum width such as ceiling panels, partitions/walls, light weight boxes and storage containers, bulkheads, display boards and signs.

Application: Gussets are used to support tube intersections in a truss type tool reinforcement. Gussets are cut from our laminate panels in a variety of shapes and pre-drilled to accommodate 2", 3", & 4" square tubes. Gussets are typically used in conjunction with Fiber-Lok Outside Dimension Controlled Square Tubes, and Columns.
