Fabrication:
|
Outside dimension controlled square tubes are fabricated by hand laying impregnated woven Graphite or Fiberglass fabric onto an expandable bladder. It is then placed in a square clamshell tool. Pressure is applied to the bladder, which presses the fabric against the clamshell tool. The tube is then oven cured, demolded, trimmed to length and post cured.

Application:
|
Square tubes are commonly used in support structures for composite tooling. The outside dimension controlled tubes are typically used with our Gussets as part of the Fiber-Lok Truss System.
