Fabrication:
|
Columns are fabricated by cutting pre-fabricated Graphite or Fiberglass Honeycomb Panels to required dimensions. Impregnated Graphite or Fiberglass fabric is then wrapped around outside surface. Column is then vacuum bagged, oven cured, demolded, trimmed to length, and post cured.

Application:

Columns are used to support large composite tools or other structures over extremely long span. Burnham Composite Structures, Inc. has the ability to fabricate columns up to 34’ long.
