FEATURES:

  • Fiber-Lok Truss System Consists of:
    • Fiber-Lok Tubes or Columns with consistent outside dimensions, and
    • Fiber-Lok Gussets which are used at the joint locations
  • Tubes and columns come in a variety of sizes
  • Gussets are precut and predrilled
  • Available in graphite or fiberglass
  • Truss System is utilized for:
    • Low temperature applications up to 180ºF (82ºC)
    • High temperature applications up to 400ºF (204ºC)
  • Increased support at a lower weight

Gussets
Gussets
Application: Gussets are used to support tube intersections in a truss type tool reinforcement. Gussets are cut from our laminate panels in a variety of shapes and pre-drilled to accommodate 2", 3", & 4" square tubes. Gussets are typically used in conjunction with Fiber-Lok Outside Dimension Controlled Square Tubes, and Columns.
Columns
Columns
Application: Columns are used to support large composite tools or other structures over extremely long span. Burnham Composite Structures, Inc. has the ability to fabricate columns up to 34’ long.
Outside Dimension Controlled Square Tubes

Application: Square tubes are commonly used in support structures for composite tooling. The outside dimension controlled tubes are typically used with our Gussets as part of the Fiber-Lok Truss System.
